Welcome to my website. My name is Susan Diggs and I am a Clinical Psychologist.
I help people who are struggling with emotional problems, mental health conditions and relationship issues so that they may feel better, have more satisfying relationships and gain more out of life. Over the course of more than 20 years as a therapist, I have worked with thousands of people in a variety of clinical settings. Gaining my experience has been like a giant research project on how people experience and recover from emotional pain.
If you are visiting this website, it is likely that you are experiencing some sort of emotional pain which you want to address, or your general practitioner or someone close to you has suggested that you come and meet with me. Whatever the reason, making the decision to speak to a professional is a proactive step in receiving the support and assistance you need to address the issues troubling you and make positive change in your life.
In my practice I see individuals and couples for psychotherapy. Your presenting issues and individual needs will determine the therapeutic approach taken. During the early stages of therapy a thorough assessment of your presenting symptoms and concerns will be made and together we will discuss what you are hoping to gain from therapy. As part of this process we will develop a treatment plan drawing on evidence-based therapies.
I am registered to practice as a psychologist in Australia by the Psychology Board of Australia and I am a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). I have a Masters in Clinical Psychology.
My practice is conveniently located in Sydney Central Business District near Martin Place, close to both Wynyard and Martin Place train stations.
I offer appointments Monday to Friday with some after-hours appointments available.
